Solar Energy in the Philippines, the Answer to Its Energy Crisis

Energy crisis usually happens during summer, where, solar energy in the Philippines could easily be the solution. Unfortunately, the Filipino people aren’t very aware and educated enough on this renewable energy source. Yes, there are some families using solar panels on their homes to supply their electricity needs. And the government started using solar power to light the streets of metro cities in the Philippines. Even the business sector is utilizing the sun’s energy in their factories and establishments. But this is just small percentage of the Philippines’ 100 million population.

Philippines’ Energy Crisis

Because of the Philippines’ rising economic growth, its demand for energy greatly increased. It is such a shame that for this reason electricity rates will be at its peak in many years. And the Filipino people will be experiencing power outage in their homes and offices.

Fortunately, though, actions are being done to remedy this problem. And one solution that the government is thinking of is making use of solar energy. Solar farms are also being built by companies for their energy needs and to protect their business from the impending electricity rate upsurge.

Residential  Solar Power

Numerous households all over the Philippines are already generating power on their own through solar panels. Installing these panels on their roofs gave them the energy they need to produce electricity for their lights and appliances. Because of this, their monthly electric bill cut down to almost half, maybe even greater than 50% depending on their solar power system.

Commercial Solar Power

Companies also considered solar power as the answer to their energy needs. And, just recently, they have started commercial solar panel installation. Some malls have solar panels on their roofs, as well as other business establishments. Not only do they have their own energy supply and deceased their expenses, they also have a steady rate for their electricity in years to come.

Industrial Solar Power Systems

The industrial sector now also uses energy from the sun converted into heat energy for its daily processes. Heat energy is the major form of energy that factories need to complete their work. And this industry now has solar panels on their factories’ roofs and even has solar farms to supply their energy needs.

Although the use of the sun’s energy is not yet widespread in our country, it is getting more and more attention every day. And solar power companies, like Solrev Energy, are making it easy for Filipinos to learn more about solar power. They not only supply your solar panel needs, but they also supply you with the information that will benefit you in the long run.
